What is so good about the Z88?

What is so good about the Z88?

Who would have thought back in 1987 that the Z88 would be talked about in the 21st century? It is easy to forget now those pioneers who were putting together a portable computer that ordinary people could afford.

This section has a selection of brochures and 'dated products' that were issued at that time. They are now totally out of date and I would ask you not to contact any of the Companies about these products unless you have a time machine which transports you back several years. If you have any old Z88 brochures that you would like to be included, please notify the webmaster.

XOB Tandy Disk Drive 2

Manufactured in 1986, over 200 units of this disk drive were sold for use with the Z88. It is battery powered and saved 200K (non standard format) worth of data on Single Sided 3-1/2" disk. They will work now with 720K disks.   The manual, software, cable details and circuit diagram are available here.
